Volunteerism is a huge part of the Lawrenceburg Public Library District! We currently have about 66 active volunteers, which means that volunteering at LPLD is a win-win and they keep coming back!

Volunteering opportunities exist in every department, for any hourly level of involvement, and many age ranges. Volunteers might be a Friend of the Library, or not. Volunteers might stay a month or 25 years. We love them all!

If you are at least 18 years of age, the Lawrenceburg Public Library District welcomes your interest in the Volunteer Program. (The Youth Services Department has a volunteer program for those under the age of 18 which is processed through the Youth Services Manager).

Please contact Michelle Bunte at 812-537-2775 ext. 7-1135 or use our contact form if you are interested in the volunteer program. An interview will be scheduled which will include filling out an application*, discussing time commitments, and going over other aspects of volunteering.

To save time, you can fill out the application below and it will be sent directly to our volunteer coordinator.  Take a moment to read our Volunteer Policy, also.
