  • Books in series - Search for an author's name or book title to find the next book in your favorite series.
  • Epic Reads - HarperTeen’s community and blog for young adult book lovers.
  • I Read YA - Tumbler Account or YouTube Channel - An online community of young adult book lovers!  A division of Scholastic.
  • No Flying, No Tights - a page devoted to graphic novel reviews specifically for those who read them the most — mainly teens.
  • NovelList - Explore books based on genre or appeal (Example: a funny book featuring a mischievous character). Search in Novelist K8 for middle grade books and below or Novelist Plus for teen and adult books.
  • Simon Teen - an online community for anyone who loves young adult fiction! (owned by Simon & Schuster)

Award Lists

  • AR Bookfinder - Search for books using criteria such as ATOS book level or a Lexile™ measure, interest level, title, author, fiction/nonfiction, subject, award-winners, state lists, CCSS Exemplars, and more.
  • Coretta Scott King Award - Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King by recognizing outstanding books by African American authors and illustrators. The award encourages the artistic expression of the African American experience via literature and the graphic arts, including biographical, historical, and social history treatments.
  • Eliot Rosewater Award - The Eliot Rosewater Indiana High School Book Award (Rosie Award) is chosen annually by students across Indiana in grades nine through twelve.
  • Newbery Medal - Awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
  • Stonewall Award - The first and most enduring award for LGBTQIA+ books is the Stonewall Book Awards, sponsored by the American Library Association's Rainbow Round Table. The Stonewall Book Award-Mike Morgan and Larry Romans Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award are presented to English language works published the year prior to the announcement date.
  • YALSA's Teen Book Finder App - a free app to help teens access the past three year's YALSA award list on their smartphone.
  • Young Hoosier Book Award - The Young Hoosier Book Award Program encourages self-selected reading among elementary and middle school/junior high school students.
